Erongo Lodge is situated on the banks of the Otjimporo dry river bed surrounded by mountains. Here you can relax in a peacefull environment. Various options for walks to explore the animals, plants and birds as well as the geological and archeological history. From the Lodge you can set out for your hunt.


We have five bungalows. Each with a bedroom (with comfortable double beds) an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a living room and a veranda.

The main house offers a wide open lounge, an exotic bar, a restaurant and a fireplace. For cooling off we do have a pool.

Due to our environment-friendly photovoltaic system electricity is available round the clock.


    We offer full board and lodging. All meals are typical african cuisine prepared from local healthy venison. Naturally a traditional „braai“, a local form of a barbecue, using acacia wood, is included. Tasty side dishes, cool beverages from the bar and a good bottle of wine round up your meal.


    We will always strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
    Medical services are provided in Omaruru by local private doctors and a hospital. Omaruru has got a pharmacy. Remember to bring along your medical card!

    We do offer a laundry service.

    Getting there

    In order to enter Namibia you need a valid passport with at least two blank pages, with the expiry date six months beyond your day of arrival.

    Please make sure of any visa requirements. Detailed and up to date information is provided by the foreign department of your home country.

    The Erongo Lodge is situated approximately 150 miles north-west of the capital Windhoek. You can reach us in a four hour drive. You will find us 28 miles south-west of Omaruru on the farm Otjimisauna. At every turnoff you will find signs giving you directions. Follow the roads D2315 and D2316 / F2818.
